Claude Des Rosiers, a stone carver, is a virtuoso in interior, garden and monumental sculptures. His subjects are historical, romantic, ethnologic and about animals.

He  also produces more functional elements such as coat of arms, civic number plates, logos and funeral monuments. He restores religious sculptures.

His art is exposed in different galleries throughout Quebec and the United States, but many of his pieces figure among private collections around the world.

The artist can produce "in situ" . The chosen stone is brought on a public or private ground and is carved harmoniously with the natural environment in a predetermined time. The result is perfectly integrated with the surroundings.

The artistic maturity of Claude Des rosiers reveals a new gender with pure, dynamic, contemporary lines where the precision of the chisel strokes generate light as an integral part of the work.

He mainly carves Quebec stones such as St-Marc des Carrière’s limestone, black soapstone but also uses imported material such as Indiana limestone, marble and italian alabaster.
